Rock Bottom (V9)

Begin on the big extrusion and climb westward along the big arete feature that borders the Arch's mauka base. A tricky opening sequence quickly leads to some good holds, and then a big double-handed slot to rest. Take your time here to shake out or just gun for the finishing sequence that is the crux of the problem. Match the crimp rail using a heel hook, and either walk the feet through or jump for the corner hold of the big arete feature. Finishing this problem can either be done with a one-armed swing or a difficult heel hook to lock off. The relatively easy start tends to give false hope, hence the name.
